Computer 2000 is the UK's largest trade-only distributor of IT products and services. 

Our main office is in Basingstoke, Hampshire, 45 miles south west of London between the M3 and M4 motorways. Our 500,000 square-feet, state-of-the art logistics centre and warehouse is situated at Magna Park, Leicestershire. 

From these locations, we provide services to IT resellers across the UK and Ireland. Our customers are mainly computer resellers - business solutions providers, value added resellers, systems builders, system integrators, telecoms suppliers, retailers, mail-order houses and on-line resellers. All of our business is strictly trade-only – in other words, we supply only to recognised solutions providers and reseller businesses, not to end-user companies.

In addition to unrivalled logistics and stock-holding capability, Computer 2000 offers a wide range of services that enable resellers to deliver effective solutions to their end user customers. These include extensive credit facilities, special delivery services and an industry-leading e-commerce system that helps resellers streamline their business processes, reduce costs and offer their customers even greater choice and value. 

Computer 2000 has over 10,000 reseller customers in the UK and Ireland. We work with all the leading vendors of IT products and carry in excess of 30,000 product line items. Our goal is to strengthen and expand our market leading position, with a continued emphasis on offering exceptional service to both our reseller customers and industry partners.

History
Computer 2000 is part of the Florida-based Tech Data Corporation – a world-wide corporation with annual turnover of $21.4 billion and 7,900 employees (for the year ended 31 January 2007). The company has operated in the UK and Ireland for 25 years. It originated in 1983 as First Software, and changed its name to Frontline Distribution Limited in 1988. This company was subsequently acquired by Europe’s leading distributor, Munich-based Computer 2000 A.G.

In 1998, Tech Data acquired Computer 2000 to form one of the largest and most influential IT wholesale distributors worldwide. Today, Tech Data operates in 26 countries and ships to more than 100 countries, serving more than 90,000 technology resellers in the United States, Canada, the Caribbean, Latin America, Europe and the Middle East.
